Giving Back

Giving Back

One of the most important aspects of Bitton as a business and David Bitton personally is to consistently give back to the community that have supported us, to the charities that have touched us and to the industry that we have been a part of for so long.

Some of the Charities We Have Worked With

Chris O’Brien Life House for Cancer
Board Member from 2013 to 2016

It is difficult to find someone who has not been touched in some way, by Cancer. Over many years David and a team of friends and colleagues have supported the wonderful work that the Life House does by raising funds through the Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Ronald MacDonald House at Randwick Children's Hospital
Family Room Ambassador from January 2013 – Present

This incredible Charity first came to David's attention when his own daughter was very sick as a young girl.  Thankfully she recovered fully however there are many families who are not so lucky.

Australia Day Ambassador
Proud ambassador since 2012

As a Frenchman who immigrated to Australia and then married a South African women who's family also immigrated here, you cannot imagine the joy it brings David to tell his story and give other Australian's the gift of citizenship on Australia Day.

Sir David Martin Foundation
David and his Team have riden for Youth in the 145Classic to raise important funds

The Sir David Martin Foundation is a brilliant non-profit organisation created in 1990 by the late Governor of NSW, Sir David Martin, who had a dream of "safety, hope and opportunity for all young Australians".

Our Local Communities

Bitton has always been very involved in the local communities that support our cafes.  Whenever possible, we like to employ local staff and give back where we can.

In Alexandria, Rose Bay and Oatley, as well as the surrounding areas, David and Sohani Bitton regularly give generously to the local schools, local fundraising, fairs, festivals and other events.
